What are the dimensions of your 12” outer sleeves?

Our 12" outer sleeves measure 12.75 x 12.75 inches.

What is “mil” and what does it mean for the thickness of your sleeves?

Mil is not an mL (milliliters), but rather a micrometer measurement equating to approximately a thousandth of an inch. Pretty thin, in other words! Our outer record sleeves are 3 mil thick.

Will my double or triple LPs fit in your outer sleeves?

It depends on which LP release you have and how many layers of inner liner there are. That said, our sleeves are large enough for most double LPs if you have the original jacket.

The fit would be pretty snug around double or gatefold album covers. With a single "regular" LP there should be a little room left in the sleeve.

Triple LPs are often packaged as a collector’s box set and have inner liners that add to the thickness, so we do not recommend one sleeve for these.

What materials are your outer sleeves made from?

Our outer sleeves are made from HDPP — high-density polypropylene. This material is considered archival safe as it is as close to PH neutral as technically possible with plastic. Additionally, the material does not contain any plasticizers.

What are the ingredients of the cleaning solution in your Cleaning Kit?

The ingredients are water and minimal amounts of polyoxyethylene lauryl ether (isn't that a mouthful), disodium edetate dihydrate (another one!), and preservatives. The cleaning solution in our Cleaning Kit does not contain alcohol and is safe to use on your most precious items.  Enjoy!

What are the ingredients of your record cleaning solution in the Record Friend™?

The ingredients are:

• 90% water
• 9.7% Isopropanol
• 0.3% 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one
